1 Catch Certificate A Catch Certificate is an official document issued by the Ministry of Fisheries, to certify that fish or fish products have been legally caught and meet specific international traceability and conservation standards. This certificate is required for the export of fish or fish products for commercial purposes and ensures that the catch has been obtained from a fishing vessel that complies with regulations, including not being listed on the Illegal, Unreported, and Unregulated (IUU) vessel list. The certificate verifies that the fish have been processed in a licensed facility and that all required fees and documentation have been provided. It plays a key role in promoting sustainable fishing practices and facilitating the legal export of seafood.
