Registration of Self-Imported Vehicle

To apply for self-import vehicle registration in Fiji, submit all required documents for first registration to the Vehicle Examination Office (VEO). The VEO reviews the submission and prepares a preliminary assessment report, which is then sent to the Team Leader Technical for review. The Team Leader Technical recommends approval or refusal before forwarding the decision to the Branch Manager, who formally notifies the applicant of the outcome. If approved, the approval letter and registration documents are sent to the Customer Service Officer (CSO), who assigns a number plate, processes the Motor Vehicle Levy (Third Party), and accepts the inspection fee. The application is then forwarded for a vehicle inspection, after which the VEO updates the inspection result and sends the application back to the CSO for processing the registration label. Once all steps are completed, the number plate is issued to the VEO, who affixes it to the vehicle.
