Procedure Steps
Step 1: Registration of the Product to be Imported

Before Importation of goods, the Importer shall first ensure that the goods is/has been registered according to the AS/NZS standards 4474.1 and 4474.2. If the goods have been registered according to the standards, the Importer can then proceed with the Importation Process. If not the product need to be registered with Department of Energy before importing

Step 2: Prepare the Application

Once the goods are successfully registered, the Importer must submit an application to import for each import/shipment of goods. Complete the application and attach the required documents.

Step 3: Visit and Submit the Completed Application

Submit the completed application in person to the Department of Energy. The DOE will review the application, and if any documents are missing, you will be notified to provide the necessary details

Step 4: Visit and Collect Import Permit for Household Electric Refrigerator and Freezers

If approved, the importer can collect the import permit for household refrigerators and freezers in person at the Department of Energy or have it emailed to them. If rejected, the applicant will be notified by email with the reasons for rejection.
