Veterinary Certificate
For Exporting Animal or Animal Products

Begin by ensuring your animals meet the health requirements of the destination country. This may involve specific treatments, tests, or vaccinations administered in Fiji prior to export. It’s your responsibility to verify whether the importing country requires an import permit, which can typically be determined by consulting the official website of the relevant government authority. Once all necessary preparations are complete, contact the Biosecurity Authority of Fiji (BAF) to arrange for an official veterinarian to examine your animals. If the animals comply with the importing country’s health standards, BAF will issue the required export health certificate or veterinary certification. Ensure that all documentation and health checks are finalized well in advance of your planned export date to facilitate a smooth process.
